TV is important electronic equipment in every home nowadays. Though the families were poor, they have at least one TV in their house. Watching TV is a form of entertainment at home for every family after hard- working. They usually watch news to find out information or watch film, the game show, cartoon and so on. However, what most people do not realize that television can adverse to their health, cause lack of social knowledge and can also inculcate many bad habits, especially in the children.
Most shows shown on the television nowadays involve bright color and programs. Therefore, TV attract a lot of audiences especially in young ones. Children begin watching TV at an extremely young age, sometimes as young as six months, and are ardent viewers by the time they are two or three years old. They like watching TV when they were very young. However, most of the children do not realize that TV can adverse to their health. For example, if a boy is always sitting to watch programs on TV that they like for 4 hours without taking a rest, his eyes can be ruined. According to estimate, there are 56.7 % of children at risk for eye disease by watching TV.They usually have to wear glasses in order to do everything in their life. It is uncomfortable and inconvenient. Besides, most of children can get up at the midnight night in order to watch a show that they like until the next morning. Therefore, the next day they feel tired. As a result,they don't concentrate on their lesson at the class and have a good marks on the test because they lack of sleeping. It affects their health and their studying. In addition, they will easily involve a number of heart diseases or obesity because they prefer watching TV to do exercises and go outside. If the children do not have any plan to watch TV properly in their habit, it is easy to adverse your healthy and ruin their eyes.
Watching television is a cause of lacking of social knowledge that makes the children less active and creative. It can prevent young children from developing important skills because of just sitting in front of the screen of the TV in order to watch programs they like not to go outside. As a result, they can not find the information in society.Sometime the knowledge they occupied at least for 3 or 4 days they forget them easily. It is difficult to remember. On the other hand, if they use the time to go outside instead of watching TV, they will have knowledge accurately and not easily forget them. For example, if a child wants to improve your speaking skill in English in front of the public, he must communicate with a lot of people around him. Face to face with them in order to improve his voice, his pronunciation and his fear when he speaks. Therefore, the children watch TV a lot of time; they never can improve your social knowledge and your skills quickly by yourselves through watching TV. In the same way, the children do not enjoy reading anymore. TV makes their reading skill or doing lesson in the book is limited because they depend on TV too much. They do not have a lot of time and the new environment to improve their knowledge. When they meet difficult situations, they do not know how to solve. Not only their knowledge limit but also their mind will not be flexible. Instead of watching TV too much, children should go outside to enjoy fresh air and social knowlegde.
The children are affected to your health and knowledge by watching TV so much; besides TV makes the children have some bad habit in their life. Children spend a lot of time to watch violent programs on the TV so they are mimic the action on the TV and then they practice. For example, two day ago, a child at 14 years old.He had seen a two person to kill together by the knife in the action movie after that he went to school with a knife in his bag in order to kill his competitor at the school as the action in the film. It is dangerous.This is a part of watching TV brings the children that is bad habit. That is a reason why the violence have happened in many schools especially in high school. Moreover, they just pay attention to people, programs and game show on the TV so they don’t take care of people around them. That is a bad habit if the children have occupied soon. For example, a boy is watching TV while his mother is failing the stair. He just glances at his mother and continue the film on TV. He doesn't help his mother. It is unacceptable. That is a bad habit should be changed.
To sum up, the children should change the habit in watching TV. They should choose good programs to watch in order to relax. Don’t spend too much time on the TV. They must go out to enjoy fresh air and play with friends in order to make them comfortable. The parents should manage their children in watching TV because it affects to the children about their health, knowledge, habit a lot.
